I hate Danny Mitchell. That's what I would like you to think so that the next time I try to work with him he's not being spoiled by better clients than myself. Danny is never creative and never brings tons of enthusiasm or creativity to every single one of my projects. Danny calls me names and pours salt in my coffee and has all the charm of a Jersey toll booth operator. I will only work with Danny again on my next project. But then that's it. And this time I almost mean it.
- John Zegowitz, Budding Culture
“Danny is a pleasure to work with as well as his crew. Creative and resourceful. He has been able to pull "rabbits" out of his hat for me on many shoots. Great quality work every time. He won't disappoint.”
- Greg Von Urff, Motor
Real Projects- ME: I need a surfboard on the beach at the surfs edge, with numbers like a clock around it, the surfboard is a sundial, umm... shadow on the 5, it's due Thursday. DANNY: It's Tuesday. ME: Okay, can I get it Monday? DANNY: Done. Danny is always my goto guy no matter what I need or when.
- Jim Wylie, FCB
Once Danny stopped drinking his work really improved. No just kidding, Danny hasn't stopped drinking. I have worked with him for many years and nothing but great shots.
- Will Johnson, Johnson Gray Advertising
When giving Danny this recommendation, LinkedIn asks to pick 3 attributes between "Great Results", "Personable", "Expert", "Good Value", "On Time", "High Integrity", and "Creative"...that's impossible with Danny. He's all of the above and then some. I've worked with him for years and have always been VERY impressed with the work he's done. Danny always bring his own expertise, and that of his crew, to every project we do together. In the end, my clients get a better product at an incredible value and I get happy clients. I'd highly recommend Danny Mitchell and his crew at Mitchell Pictures!

When a client is going to attend, the shoot Daniel and hs team are always great to have in my court! I've shot food, people, product and location with him, and have always been very pleased with the outcome. He's a seasoned professional that knows what it takes to do great work. I highly recommend him!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Danny Mitchell as a photographer, but I'll give it a try. Danny is a wonderful collaborator. My marketing firm has been drawn to Danny's work due to both his style and atitude. Danny has a truly gifted eye for detail and we know getting our "dream" photos for multiple campaigns would require some amount of collaboration. The end result is always that we get exactly what we hoped for and much, much more.
- Brigette O'Donavan, Baby Bird Communications
"Bottom line, Danny is a ROCKSTAR! No matter what product you bring him, the success of your project is a sure bet. Don't let his laid-back Southern California charm fool you, when he's on your shoot, he and his crew of dedicated pros are on task, thinking out-of-the-box, managing the vision, and are precision-perfect, every time."
- Marinella Len, Verve Network
“Danny's photography is hands down incredible. There are many photographers out there, yet Danny has a tactical vision that is unmatched in quality and class. His keen insight and innovational thinking will translate any idea or concept in capturing images that immediately come to life and stir the imagination. He is dedicated to getting any job done and preserves an amazing sense of humor under any deadline. Danny of Mitchell Pictures is THE best of breed for commercial photography. I highly recommend Danny's work as he will go above and beyond your expectations.”

I was born on the East Coast and moved to Southern California when I was three. I grew up in rural Southern Orange County in the days of no rules and wide open spaces. We had orange fights, BB gun wars, rode horses, surfed, skied and played a lot soccer and baseball.
Growing up I was all about fine art and oil painting. My grandmother was a very accomplish painter and I spent many days in her studio learning the subtleties of fine art. I was captured by photography while traveling in Europe playing club soccer. I got serious about photography after traveling our National Parks while working on a Geology degree. So serious in fact I switched majors and schools. I graduated from Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara with a BA in photography and moved to Hollywood working with some famous photographers and perfecting my skills.
I have since moved back to South Orange County to raise my twin daughters with my wife Liz. We have a dog named Hurley and a chinchilla called Pogo.
